Think N Play Preschool - History
Think 'N Play facility construction began about Sept 1984. At that time, Tuskawilla Road had one north bound and one south bound lane. No nearby traffic light, no sidewalks, no nature trail & no sign. Parking was grass. Our 1.25 acre lot had a building with limited teaching equipment & limited playground equipment. Since then we have paved additional lanes on Tuskawilla Road, added a sidewalk, paved the parking lot, added much teaching equipment, added much playground equipment, added an indoor & outdoor 24/7 surveillance system, and increased the staff to about 10 persons. Meals, snacks, laundry are done on site. We have a large new concrete play deck with imbedded sandbox. We have three fully equipped playgrounds and four fully equipped classrooms. Children are offered much shaded outdoor play space & equipment. Lots of room to run & have fun. With land we own outside the playgrounds, there is plenty of room for expansion.

Our first child enrolled late January 1985. Cindy Brooks, owner & founder of Think 'N Play, Inc. was the sole teacher at that time. Cindy Brooks, M.Ed., qualifications for supervising your child's program began with a Master's degree in early childhood education from Loyola University. It continues with her completion of 17 post-graduate courses, and thousands of hours of continuing training. In addition, she has taught a large variety of teacher training courses including those for Community Coordinated Child Care (4C), Department of Children & Families, Mid-Florida Tech, and Orlando Vo Tech. She is the author of 42 published articles. She attends, speaks at, and participates in seminars and conferences for the Early Childhood Association of Florida, the Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children, and a variety of others.

Our continuing goal is making Think N Play Preschool the best learning center and the best child care. Not everyone has the title of teacher; but, EVERYONE is a "teacher". We all teach by example in our actions as well as in our words.

Think N Play Preschool children think learning is supposed to be fun. And, they are right!

We expect Think 'N Play children to place at the top of their classes. Tops in social development. Tops in emotional stability. Tops in physical readiness. Tops in academic standings. As this happens, we all succeed!
